Sydney student Kelli O’Dell has been voted ‘best dressed’ on Ladies Day at Galway Races.
O’Dell, 22, wore an “Anaessia” Black lace dress, with champagne underlay, matching sash and butterfly broaches. It was accessorized with black patent Tony Bianco Shoes and her grandmother’s black gloves. .
She received a magnificent prize of a one carat diamond solitaire pendant valued at €8,000, a shopping spree worth €1500 in Anthony Ryan’s, Galway and €1,000 cash.
She also received a Lancôme Presentation Gift Hamper worth over €600 and corporate hospitality package for Galway Races October Bank Holiday Racing Festival.
“I was hopeful, when I came out for the day, that I would get selected. I mean if I made the top 40 I would have been delighted but to win is just amazing,” she told the Irish Examiner.
Judging this year’s competition were three of the best known names in the Irish fashion industry – Former Miss World Rosanna Davison; Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent & Executive Editor of the Irish Independent Weekend magazine; and PJ Gibbons, Editor, Social and Personal Magazine.
They were joined by well known faces from the Galway fashion scene Patricia McCrossan, Managing Director, Galway NOW and Mandy Maher, Director, Catwalk Model Agency.
