IRELAND V AUSTRALIA: Youngsters from the recent NSW GAA junior training camps got a chance to represent Ireland (sort of) when they took on the might of St Ives Aussie Rules club (Australia) in an International Rules challenge last week at Moore Park. While the second proposed clash was called off because of very high temperatures, the event was hailed as an enormous success by organisers. The Irish kids proved more adept with the round ball and were boosted by the support of Sydney Swans Irish star, Tadhg Kennelly, who came along to lend a hand. Pics: Kieran O’Shaughnessy.
